a lot of people power their CB with a cigaret lighter adapter and they don't seem to have any problem with that.

I always powered mine up with the cigarette lighter, through a ferrite choke or two on the power cord and no issues at all. Certain LED headlights causes interference, in that situation. I just throw ferrite choke on those too and problem solved.

At 9:25 you mention not to coil up the coax because, your words," it will cause an RF block out." What exactly is an "RF block out"? I've been in radio since 1967 and have never heard of this. All coiling the coax will do is form a common mode choke (ugly balun) and will do nothing to the signals received or transmitted.
